Esta blusa es bastante vieja, tiene unos cuantos años, de las pocas cosas que he comprado en Blanco (con esta tienda me pasa que en lookbooks y por internet siempre veo cosas muy monas pero luego en vivo me decepcionan mucho), siempre me ha gustado el color y parece que ahora está de moda. Tengo otra muy parecida con cuadros tipo escocés, a ver si un día se asoma por aquí. :)

This is quite an old shirt, I bought it a few years ago at Blanco (a Spanish store I don't go too much too, their clothes look nice on the web or catalogue but once in your hand they're a bit dissapointing), I've always love the color and it seems to be in again this year. I've got a quite similar one with a plaid pattern, maybe it'll show up some day. :)

No sé si es por la luz o la ropa pero estas fotos me hacen pensar en el final del verano (aún estamos ahí, lo sé). Lo cierto es que soy más de otoño o primavera pero esta época, cuando acaba el verano siempre me ha gustado, da la sensación de que se acercan cambios y cosas nuevas. Además el final del verano siempre me evoca tardes en la playa.. no sé, cosas mías, no me hagáis mucho caso. :)

Maybe it's the light or maybe just the outift but these pics make me think of the end of summer (even if we're still there). Honestly, I'm more of an Autumn and Spring person but I've always liked this time of the year, when summer is coming to an end, it feels like changes and new things are close. Besides, it makes me think of afternoons at the beach, I don't know, just thinking.. :)

PD. Por cierto, este viernes es mi cumple, espero tener alguna cosita para enseñaros ;)

Hace tiempo que quería un kimono de encaje y al final Asos me dió la solución (y aprovechando las rebajas me lo pillé también en blanco, pero eso es otro post). De lo único que no estoy segura es de los flecos, me gusta como quedan pero no sé si quedaría más casual o informal sin ellos, más combinable vamos. ¿Qué pensáis? ¿flecos sí o no?

I had wanted a lace kimono for sometime and finally Asos came to the rescue (and since they had this big sale I bought in white too, but that's another post's story). What I'm not really sure about is the fringes, I like them, but I don't know if maybe it'll look more casual and wearable without them. So what do you think? Fringes: yes or no?

El rojo siempre me ha parecido un color algo agresivo, y me gusta, combinado con negro y blanco creo que da un resultado siempre efectivo, aunque en otras ocasiones como ésta me gusta suavizarlo un poco con tonos beige y nude. ¿Cómo combináis el rojo? ¿Os gusta o no lo usáis en absoluto?

I've always found red a quite agressive color, and I like it that way, mixing it with black and white is always a cool option, though sometimes I like to soften it up with some beige and nude hues. How do you wear red? Do you like it or don't you use it at all?

Cotilleando en H&M la Conscious Collection (de la que también me traje alguna cosilla que ya os enseñaré) vi esta blusa que de primeras me llamó por el color (¿adicta al nude?) y cuando vi la espalda ya me terminó de ganar. Me encantan este tipo de prendas que de primeras parecen de lo más normal pero luego tienen un "elemento sorpresa" ;)

Checking H&M's Conscious Collection (from which I also bought some things that I'll show you soon) I saw this shirt and it first cought my attention for its color (nude addicted anyone?) and then I saw its back and it gained me completely. I love this kind of garments which seem quite common but hide a "surprise element" ;)

Nude Maxi Dress

Se abre la veda de los maxi vestidos y para comenzar, el último en unirse a la familia. Desde que vi las primeras imágenes en el desfile de Mango supe que tenía que hacerme con él, y no fue fácil, después de semanas de decirme en las tiendas que lo más probable es que no llegara a mi ciudad al fin apareció! Lo tiene todo, el color, la caída, el corte.. un vestido perfecto que pienso usar hasta la saciedad!

Maxi dresses season is officially open and for a start, the last addition to the family. Since I first saw it at the Mango catwalk I knew I had to get it, and it wasn't easy, after weeks of been told at the stores that it probably wouldn't arrive to my city it finally showed up! It has everything, the color, the cut, the fabric.. a perfect dress that I'm planning to use till boredom!

¡Hola! ¿Qué tal habéis pasado estos días? Yo he pasado la mitad de ellos con mi nueva rebeca :) y es que el mismo viernes que os contaba que ya estaba de camino resulta que estaba mucho más cerca de lo que pensaba :) Estos días ha hecho un poco más de fresco y no he podido usar el look que os proponía en el post anterior, pero todo se andará. No sé que os parecerá la rebeca/cardigan/kimono pero a mí me tiene enamorada! Mi abuela hacía estas mantas así que no solo me parece preciosa si no que me trae muy buenos recuerdos. Ya estoy pensando en hacérmela en otros colores..

Por si a alguna le sirve de ayuda, unca antes había comprado en Topshop online y pensé que tardaría más pero la verdad es que fue sencillo y rapidísimo así que probablemente vuelvan a verme por allí ;)

Hello! How was your Easter days? I spent half of my holiday wearing my new cardigan :), remember that I told you in my last post that it was on its way home, well, it turns out it was closer than I thought :) These last days have been a bit colder so I couldn't wear the outfit I showed you but time will tell. I don't know what are your feelings towards this cardigan/kimono but I'm really in love with it!. My grandma used to make this kind of blankets so not only I find it to be gorgeous but it also brings great memories to my mind. I'm already thinking in making another one with different colors..

Just in case any of you is interested: I had never bought at Topshop online before and I thought that it would take longer but it actually was quite easy and fast so they'll be probably hearing from me again ;)

Lace and other Things

Y por fin estrené mi vestido de encaje, cada vez me gusta más este tejido, a decir verdad últimamente ya es más bien obsesión :). El vestido me encanta, creo que con complementos en cuero y un aire más informal le puedo sacar mucho partido en verano. Ya os contaré!
Por otro lado, llevo un par de semanas bastantes desastrosas en lo que al blog se refiere (al mío y a los vuestros), a ver si me pongo las pilas, por lo pronto quería aprovechar para contenstar algunas de las preguntas que me habéis hecho en los últimos posts. Por ejemplo, los vaqueros rotos del post Parka, son de hace un par de años, sorry!, pero la blusa sí que es de esta temporada, es ésta. Las ondas del pelo las hago con una plancha, yo uso una GHD pero imagino que cualquiera de ese tipo valdrá, por youtube hay muchos vídeos que explican como hacerlas.
El jueves pasado no pude ir a la Fashion Night de Mango, y me dió mucha rabia! Aunque sí me pasé el viernes por la Good Night Triana (una especie de "noche en blanco" a escala), y aunque mantuve los ojos bien abiertos no os vi a ninguna.. a ver si hay más suerte la próxima vez! (tengo pendiente enseñaros "mi compra" de ese día ;) ).
Quería aprovechar para daros las gracias por seguir ahí aunque yo sea un poco desastre :)

I finally wore my lace dress, I'm getting quite fond of this fabric, although being honest I think I'm quite obsessed already :). I really love the dress, I think that pairing it with some leather accessories and making it more casual I will use it a lot during this summer. We'll see!

Sigo sin animarme con la tendencia actual de colores flúor y color block, aunque estoy en busca de un bolso fucsia (si alguna sabe de uno que avise :) ). Así que yo por lo pronto sigo con mis tonos neutros, aunque sé que ya va siendo hora de añadir algo de color primaveral a los looks, ¿el beige no cuenta? Y a vosotras, ¿os gusta la tendecia de colores fluor y en bloque o preferís los tonos más suaves? Yo por lo que he leído por ahí la gente está un poco saturada con la tendencia y eso que aún estamos casi empezando la tenporada!.

So, for now I'll stick to my neutral tones, ok, I know I should be adding some Spring colors to my looks, does beige count? Un look cómodo y sencillo para una tranquila tarde de domingo. El vestido es de punto y lo tengo desde hace al menos 3 años (aunque puede que más) y siempre lo llevo igual: con leggins negros y chaqueta de cuero. ¿Qué tal habéis pasado el fin de semana? Yo no me quejo, algo de cine, algo de lluvia, algo de compras, comida china.. no ha estado mal :)
Últimamente me ha dado por combinar todo con medias y zapatos negros, y es que cuando no sé a qué recurrir parece que con esta combinación todo queda bien, no sé que voy a hacer cuando llegue el calor y no pueda llevar medias... pero como aún queda bastante para eso, de momento sigo aprovechando. ¡Qué tengáis buena semana!

En plena tendencia de colores flúor y de bloque, me desmarco con este look en tonos suaves. Me encanta la tendencia de colores para este verano pero siempre me han perdido estos tonos más suaves. Hace un par de fines de semana encontramos este sitio tan bonito y ya se ha convertido en mi favorito así que preparaos para verlo a menudo (todo lo que pueda, porque a mi pesar no me queda muy cerca). Por eso también hoy hay una pequeña sobrecarga de fotos, y es ¡que no sabía cuales elegir! La falda de cuero es del año pasado, la reencontré el otro día en el armario y me pareció que esta es la época perfecta para usarla, tengo ganas de probarla con un look más informal, tal vez una camiseta con print.. ya os contaré.

A couple of weeks ago we found this beautiful place and it has already become my favourite so be prepared for seeing it quite often (as much as I'm able to get there, since, unfortunately, it's not really near). That's why there's a small overload of pics today, I didn't know which ones to pick! The leather skirt is last year's, I just "found" it in my closet and thought that this is the perfect time of the year to wear it, I want to try it with more informal clothes, maybe a print tee.. I'll tell you what I come up with.

I think this is the most obvious outfit for a pair of red jeans: white tee and black blazer; but that doesn't make me like it any less!. ¿Qué os parecen los LWD o vestiditos blancos? a mí me encantan, creo que incluso más que el clásico LBD. El caso es que rara vez salgo de noche o tengo eventos en los que tenga que arreglarme así que no me veo mucho en la típica situación en la que usar un LBD. Sin embargo los blancos me encantan, creo que les puedes sacar partido tanto para diario como para situaciones más arrgladas (si se da el caso). Éste en particular lo compré después de llevarlo igual pero en verde a una boda, me gustó tanto que no me resistí al blanco (no llevé el blanco a la boda por razones obvias ;) ). Hoy lo llevo de forma bastante informal pero creo que con unos tacones nude y algún complemento más vistoso puede quedar un look más arreglado. ¿Tenéis un LWD? ¿Ideas para sacarle partido de diario?

What do you think of LWD or little white dresses? I love them. I think I like them even more than I like the classic LBD. I rarely go out at night or go to any event that requires dressing up, so I barely find myself in the typical situation where you'd wear a LBD. I, however, love LWD, not only because you can wear them in your daily live in countless ways but also because you can use them for more elegant situations. This one I bought it after I wore the same one in green to a wedding, I liked it so much that couldn't resist getting the white one too (I didn't wear the white version to the wedding for obvious reasons ;) ). Today, I'm wearing it in a quite casual way but I think that with a pair of nude pumps and some shiney accessories you'd get a more elegant outfit. Do you have a LWD? Any ideas to wear it in my daily live?

Este vestido es una de mis últimas compras de rebajas (si no la última), es muy parecido a éste solo que en este caso es de manga corta. Los colores son bastante otoñales, pero creo que le podré sacar partido todo el año. A ver si cuando empiece el calor os lo puedo enseñar sin medias y con sandalias :). ¿Tenéis ya ganas de sandalias? Yo a pesar de lo que acabo de decir, no mucho, soy más de calzado cerrado, ¡me pierden las botas! Aunque este año quiero conseguir alguna sandalia de cuña que no tengo y estoy segura que así lo llevaré mejor.. ;)

This dress is one of my latest sales buys (if not the last one), it's quite similar to this one, except that this one has short sleeves instead of long ones. The colors are quite Autumnal though I think I might use it all year long. Let's see if I can show it to you again with no tights and sandals when it gets warmer. Btw, do feel like wearing sandals already? Despite of what I just said, I don't, I'm such a boots girl, I love them! Though I'm thinking of getting some wedges sandals this summer and I'm sure it will help with the lack of boots period.. ;)

¡Tachaaan! ¿Qué os parece el nuevo look del blog? Llevaba tiempo queriendo cambiando y por fin este finde nos hemos puesto a ello. Aún faltan cositas por pulir y es muy posible que hayan algunos fallos, os agradecería que me lo comentarais si encontráis alguno.

Por otro lado el look es bastante sencillo, un look sin complicaciones para un fin de semana tranquilo. Hay días en los que no apetece complicarse mucho ¿verdad?. Feliz comienzo de semana!

Carrot Cake

Hoy toca algo distinto. El fin de semana pasado me entraron unas ganas tremendas de comer mi tarta favorita, ¡la de zanahoria! y como no sé de ningún sitio por aquí cerca que la haga pues me decidí a hacerla yo misma. Y como quedó bastante bien, o eso dicen los que la han probado ;) me dispongo a compartirla con vosotras. Si queréis ver recetas de repostería con una pinta realmente deliciosa pasaros por el blog de Marta, More Than Mode porque todas las semanas nos tienta con algo delicioso. Ahora os dejo con la receta, si la hacéis ¡contadme!. ¿Cuál es vuestra tarta preferida?

Today I have something different for you. Last weekend I really had a craving for my favourite cake, carrot cake! and since I haven't found anywhere nearby that makes a good one I decided to make it myself. It turned out pretty good, or so say those who tried it ;). So I wanted to share it with you. You can also check some delicious bakery recipes you should check Marta's blog More Than Mode where she posts each week delicious cakes and other baked goodies. You can see the recipe in English here, it's pretty much what I did except that I skipped the coconut and pineapples. Tell me if you make this cake! Which is your favourite cake anyway?

Ingredientes para el Cake:

300 grs de harina común
2 cucharaditas de levadura
1 1/2 cucharaditas de bicarbonato
1 cucharadita de sal
2 cucharaditas de canela
1/2 cucharadita de nuez moscada
3 huevos grandes
200 grs de azúcar común
200 grs de azúcar morena
120ml de aceite de oliva
500 grs de zanahoria pelada y rallada

Ingredientes para el Frosting:

250 grs de queso Philadelphia (puede ser light)
50 grs de mantequilla
1 cucharadita de extracto de vainilla
180 grs de azúcar glace

Elaboración

Ajustamos la rejilla del horno a la altura media y precalentamos a 175º C. Engrasar el molde con aceite de oliva y cubrimos la base del molde con papel de horno.
En un bol grande mezclamos la harina, la levadura, el bicarbonato, la sal, la canela y la nuez moscada; reservamos a parte.
Rallar las zanahorias (yo usé un robot de cocina pero lo podéis hacer con un rallador manual), y las reservamos. En un bol para batidora mezclamos los huevos, el azúcar blanco y moreno y batimos a velocidad media alta hasta que la mezcla se vuelva espesa y cremosa, de 1 a 3 minutos. Poner a velocidad baja e ir añadiendo el aceite poco a poco hasta que se mezcle completamente y emulsione, de 30 a 60 segundos.
A velocidad baja, añadir la mitad de la mezcla de harina somre la mantequilla y mezclarlo con cuidado. Repetir de nuevo con el resto de la mezcla de harina y continuar mezclando suavemente hasta que la mayor parte de los grumos hayan desaparecido (no batir en exceso). Mezclar a mano las zanahorias hasta que quede todo bien homogéneo. Verter en el molde y hornear hasta que al meter un palillo en el centro este salga casi limpio. El tiempo varía con el horno, a mi me llevó algo más de una hora pero la receta original ponía de 35 a 40 minutos así que es mejor vigilar y comprobar de vez en cuando con cuidado de que no se queme por arriba. Dejar enfriar en el molde unos 10 minutos, después le damos la vuelta al bizcocho y quitamos el papel de horno. Le damos la vuelta de nuevo y dejamos enfriar por completo durante unas dos horas antes de añadir la cobertura.
Batimos el queso en crema, la mantequilla (que habremos ablandado previamente pero sin calentar) y la vainilla a velocidad media alta en un bol hasta que esté todo bien mezclado, durante unos 30 segundos, rebañando el bol con una espátula si es necesario. Añadimos el azúcar glace y mezclamos hasta que quede esponjoso, 1 minutos aproximadamente. Usando una espátula adecuada repartimos el frosting uniformemente por toda la superficia de la tarta. ¡Y listo para servir!

Muchas de nosotras hemos estado casi todo el pasado año soñando con el anillo Arty de YSL, ¿cierto? Al menos yo sí, porqué negarlo, para ser precisos el que me hacía ojitos a mí era el plateado y negro, así que cuando Bimba & Lola sacó en su nueva colección este anillo tan "inspirado" no me lo pensé y me fui a por él. Me gusta mucho como queda y mientras sigo ideando estrategias para hacerme con el Arty, éste me sirve como premio de consolación ;)

Well, at least I have; to be precise the one I wanted was the silver and black one, so when Bimba & Lola launched this "inspired" ring in their new collection I didn't think twice and went for it. I really like it and while I keep thinking of a strategy to get the Arty, this will do as a consolation prize ;)

Me he dado cuenta de algo: tengo demasiadas blusas blancas. Bueno corrijo, no es que tenga demasiadas blusas blancas (no creo que eso sea posible), es más bien que tengo demasiado pocas de otros colores. Pero también me he dado cuenta de que las tiendas no me lo ponen nada fácil para remediarlo! Y es que este fin de semana he ido dispuesta a buscar alguna alternativa pero mi búsqueda ha sido en balde. Lo poco que llamó mi atención que no era blanco, era negro, y ese es el segundo color en mi armario así que descartado también. ¿Cuándo van a llegar los colores a las tiendas? verdes, azules, rojos... Si alguien ve algo potable ¡qué avise!

I've recently realized of something: I have too many white blouses. Correction, it's not that I have too many white blouses (I don't think that's even possible), it's that I have too little blouses in other colours actually. But I've also realized that stores do nothing to helo me solve this issue! This weekend I was determined to find some alternative to white but nothing came home with me. The few things that I liked (and weren't white) were black and since that's the second main colour in my closet it's out of the equation. When are colours going to arrive to the stores? green, blue, red... If anyone finds something that's worth a try, please tell!

El pasado sábado 5 de Febrero tuve la suerte de asistir al primer Fashion Day de Canarias, que tuvo lugar gracias a la iniciativa de Alba (Red Lips and Candy Kisses), Leticia (Chic & Positive) y María (Le Temps du Charme). No sólo pasamos un estupendo día de compras con descuentos especiales, interesantes demostraciones y mucha diversión, sino que tuvimos la oportunidad de conocer a otras amantes de la moda (blogueras o no), poner cara a quien ya conocíamos virtualmente y hacer nuevas amistades. Con y sin rebeca. O maxi cárdigan como preferáis. Es de Mango, regalo de reyes (aunque los he visto en rebajas y muy bien de precio). Es mi nuevo aliado contra el "frío" isleño, por lo general es suficiente para protegerme de nuestras "bajas temperaturas". ¡Y me encanta! La blusa es también de Mango, de las rebajas, ¿recordáis que os la enseñé en el post de novedades? Y las botas son mi última adquisición rebajil, buscaba unas de este tipo y las encontré en Pull & Bear. ¿Qué os parece?

With and without cardigan. Or maxi cardigan, whatever. It's from Mango and it was a Christmas present (though I've seen them in the stores on sale and at a very fair price). So, it is my new ally against the "island's cold", generally, it's enough to protect myself against our "low temperatures" here, and I love it!. The blouse is from Mango's sales as well, remember I showed it to you on the new things post? And these boots are my last sales buy, I've been looking from a pair like this and finally found it at Pull & Bear. So what do you think?

Makeup Routine

Hoy quiero compartir con vosotras otro aspecto que aunque siempre se ve en las fotos de los outfits, rara vez se comenta. Me encanta el maquillaje, y aunque lo cierto es que rara vez me maquillo de forma muy elaborada me gusta probar cosas nuevas, y a parte tengo mis favoritos. ¿Tenéis algún producto en especial que os encante y sin el que no podáis pasar? ¡Contadme!

Today, I want to share with you a different aspect of me, because even if it is always shown on the outfit photos, I barely talk about it. I love makeup, and even if I rarely wear complicated looks, I like to try new things. I also have my favourites, of course. Do you have any makeup product that you can't live without? Tell me!

Este es el neceser en el que guardo lo que uso a diario o con más frecuencia (fines de semana, alguna salida..). Tengo más cosas guardadas por otro lado que uso menos y que son más bien las que he ido probando y no me han terminado de convencer.

This is the makeup case where I keep what I frequently use (daily, weekends, etc). I've got some more things kept aside but I rarely use them since they are mostly things I tried and didn't really like.

Para el rostro uso el corrector Pure Cover Mineral de Maybelline, los polvos compactos Healthy-Glow Mineral Powder de UNE y uno de mis favoritos desde hace tiempo, los polvos Georgia de Benefit, me encanta el aspecto amelocotonado que dejan en la piel (la brocha que traen no sirve para nada, mejor usar una grande para polvos). Después me gusta aplicar un toque de brillo en los pómulos con el High Beam de Benefit.

For my face I use Maybelline's Pure Cover Mineral concealer, UNE's Healthy-Glow Mineral Powder and one of my all-time favourites, Benefit's Georgia, I love the peachy aspect it leaves on your face (the brush it comes with is useless so you'd better use a large powder brush). I like to apply some light to my cheekbones with Benefit's High Beam.

Los ojos por lo general, o bien los llevo solo con rimmel (ahora mismo estoy usando el Efecto Pestañas Postizas de Maybelline) o con el dúo de sombras Ombres Contrast Duo 20 Taupe-Délicat de Chanel. Dependiendo del día uso un poco de lápiz difuminado debajo de la sombra o si quiero algo más elaborado hago un ahumado con lápiz negro y el All-in-one Artistry Palette 008 Smoky Design de Dior. También uso (sobre todo en salidas por la noche) el kohl de Guerlain en negro o marrón.

I usually wear my eyes either with just some mascara on (I'm using Maybelline's Fake Lashes Effect right now) or with Chanel's Ombres Contrast Duo 20 Taupe-Délicat.. I sometimes apply some blended eye pencil under the shadows or I might do a smoky eye with Dior's All-in-one Artistry Palette 008 Smoky Design. I also use (mostly at night-outs) Guerlain's kohl in black or brown.

Antes de aplicar nada en los labios me gusta limpiar cualquier resto del maquillaje de la cara con un bastoncillo húmedo. Después me doy cacao (ahora estoy con el Cocoa Butter Lip Care Stick de Body Shop) y luego dependiendo del día, de la ropa, o de mi estado de ánimo, uso uno de estos cuatro labiales de Chanel: Aqualumière 31 Waikiki; Rouge Coco 02 Perlé; Rouge Coco 10 Camélia y Rouge Coco 23 Rouge Orage.

Before applying anything to my lips I like to clean any rest of makeup with a wet q-tip. I then apply lip balm (right now I'm using Body Shop's Cocoa Butter Lip Care Stick). and then, depending on what I'm wearing or how I'm feeling I use one of these four Chanel lipsticks: Aqualumière 31 Waikiki; Rouge Coco 02 Perlé; Rouge Coco 10 Camélia and Rouge Coco 23 Rouge Orage.

Y para terminar mi parte preferida, ¡el colorete!. Llevo ya bastante tiempo usando estos dos de Chanel, uno es más clarito (56 Tea Rose) y el otro un poco más intenso (60 Rose Temptation). Los aplico con una brocha biselada para marcar bien el pómulo. El verano pasado compré en Londres el Multi de Nars en el tono Orgasm, tiene un poco de brillo así que lo uso principalmente para salidas nocturnas.
And finally, my favourite part, blush!. I've been using these two Chanel blushes for a time now, one is lighter (56 Tea Rose) and the other one is a bit deeper (60 Rose Temptation). I apply them with an angled brush to define the cheekbones. Last summer when in London I bought Nars Multin in Orgasm, it has some shimmer so I mainly use it when going out at night.

Dos días seguidos de gris y negro, vaya, no me había dado cuenta hasta que me he puesto a preparar el post. Aunque son looks completamente distintos, el vestido es otra de las compras de rebajas que os enseñé hace un par de semanas. Es bastante cómodo y calentito porque tiene algo de lana (o eso creo), me lo puse con unas Ugg negras de punto, el modelo que se dobla y tiene botones, creo que no os las había enseñado, las tengo desde hace un par de inviernos. La próxima vez intentaré que se vean mejor :)

Two days in a row wearing grey and black, I hadn't realized until I began preparing this post. They are two completely different outfits, however, the dress is one of my sales buys I showed you a couple of weeks ago. It's quite comfy and warm since it has some wool in its composition (or so I think), I wore it with a pair of black knit Ugg, the ones that can be folded and has buttons, I think I hadn't shown them in the blog before, I got them a couple of winters ago. Next time I'll try to show them better :)

En las fotos de hoy hay un pequeño invitado inesperado que decidió hacernos compañía mientras hacíamos las fotos :) ¿No es una monada?. El look de hoy está compuesto casi íntegramente por prendas regaladas en navidad. ¿Qué os parece el pantalón rojo? ¡a mi me encanta! ya estoy pensando con qué más combinarlo. Por otro lado, definitivamente, ésta es mi nueva blusa favorita, y las Ugg.. ¡no me las quito! son lo más cómodo que hay, y a pesar de la creencia popular de que son sólo para el frío, lo cierto es que están preparadas para temperaturas entre -1ºC y 26ºC. Y nada más chicas, ¡feliz fide!

We have an unexpected little guest on today pics, he decided to stay with us while we were taking the photos :) Ain't he cute?. Today's outfit is almost completely made out of Christmas presents. Algunas ideas de looks para conjuntar las últimas incorporaciones a mi armario que os enseñé la semana pasada. Sobre todo busco ideas para los pantalones, tanto el gris como el rojo. Ambos me encantan pero me da miedo abusar mucho del rojo, por eso quiero buscar looks suaves que en los que unos pantalones así no resulten muy agresivos. ¡Se aceptan sugerencias!

Some ideas for outfits with the last add-ons to my closet that I showed last week. I'm mostly interested on ideas for both of the jeans, the red one and the grey one. I love them both but I'm afraid of abusing the red one, that's why I want to find some soft outfits where these kind of pants do not look too aggressive. Suggestions are welcome!

Tenía pendiente enseñaros estas fotos del viaje a Madrid en diciembre. No sé porqué las había ido dejando, será por la cara de frío con la que salgo, o por las fotos en las que salgo haciendo el indio intentando que se vea el vaho del frío en la cámara.. ¡Qué frío que hacía! Pero que bonito está el Retiro en esa época, aunque me quedé con ganas de verlo nevado, tal vez el año que viene.. ;)

I've had these photos since my last trip to Madrid on December but hadn't found the moment to show them to you, maybe it was for my "I'm freezing" face, or for the photos of me acting silly while trying to show the cold breath on camera.. It was really cold! But El Retiro looks so pretty at this time of the year, although I missed seeing it covered with snow, maybe next year.. ;)

De Navidad y rebajas. Faltan más cosas, algunas que no he encontrado en web y otras por ejemplo de Massimo Dutti de las que no hay fotos pero que iréis viendo, el vestido del post anterior es una de ellas, y también una maxi falda marrón y unos vaqueros grises. También una blusa estampada de Sfera.. y alguna cosilla más que seguro que se me olvida..

From Christmas and sales. There are a few things left, some of them I didn't find on the website and other from Massimo Dutti which has no photos but that you'll see here, the dress from the last post is one of them as well as a brown maxi skirt a pair of grey jeans. Después de haberos abandonado durante un mes (lo siento..¡Feliz Año!), tengo bastantes cositas nuevas que enseñaros (cortesía de los Reyes Magos). Antes de nada, el invierno parece que nos ha pasado de largo este año, aunque os puedo decir que aquí en Las Palmas, por lo general tenemos sólo dos estaciones: Primavera y Otoño.. y no me quejo aunque a veces una echa de menos algún abrigo pero eso ya os lo he contado. En fin, todo esto para deciros que no me estaba helando, aunque un rato después de hacer las fotos si me puse una rebeca (tenía que haberle hecho alguna foto, la próxima vez). ¿Qué tal se portaron los reyes con vosotras? ¿Algo interesante en las rebajas?

After abandoning you for a month (so sorry, Happy new year!), I have a few new things to show you (thanks to Santa). First of all let me tell you that winter seems to have left us behind this year, though I can tell you that here in Las Palmas we have only two seasons: Spring and Autumn.. and I'm not complaining but sometimes a girl misses wearing a coat from time to time, but I've already told you that. Anyway, I tell you this so that you know that I wasn't freezing, although I wore my cardigan a while after we took the photos (should've made a pic of it, next time). How did Santa treat you? Anything worthy at the sales?

¡Hola a todas! Después de mi puente madrileño y de los días de descansar de las vacaciones ;) ya estoy por aquí de nuevo y traigo algunos looks abrigaditos para enseñaros, ¡que ya era hora! (aunque con los 22º que hacen aquí ahora mismo no es lo que más me apetecería ponerme hoy...). Hace tiempo que no estaba en Madrid por Navidad, y aunque el volumen de gente es demasiado alto para mí, lo cierto es que la ciudad está muy bonita con todas las luces y arboles de Navidad. Y nunca viene mal pasar un poquito de frío.. (sí, lo digo yo que ahora estoy a más de veinte grados.. :P). ¿Qué tal pasastéis el puente? ¡Feliz semana!

Hello girls! After my bank holiday spent at Madrid (and the days to recover from the holiday ;) ) I'm back and ready to show you some warm looks, it was about time! (though being 22º out there right now this is not exactly what I'd wear today...). It's been a long time since I last were in Madrid at Christmas time and despite there were way too many people for my taste, truth is the city looks really beautiful with all its lights and Christmas trees. And some cold is not so bad from time to time (says the girl who's over twenty degrees.. :P). Have a nice week!

Hoy quiero resolver las dudas que muchas de vosotras me habéis planteado en los comentarios: ¿no tienes frío? ¿Y el abrigo? ¿Pero tú dónde vives?. Pues veréis, ahora mismo en mi ciudad hacen 19º, y aunque esta mañana llovió (de los pocos días al año que lo hace) hacían 26º, las temperaturas mínimas para esta semana bajan hasta los 17º y las máximas suben a los 24º. Por eso no me véis con abrigo ni chaqueta aún, ¡Vivo en Canarias! Pero no en todos sitios es igual, dentro de mi propia isla si te adentras en el centro hace bastante más frío (yo vivo en la costa). Y después de este parte metereológico quería deciros que me voy a pasar el puente a Madrid con mi hermana (allí sí que pasaré frío! y espero traeros looks más apropiados para la temporada) y no sé si tendré tiempo de actualizar el blog, en caso de que no, desearos un feliz puente y ¡nos vemos la semana que viene!

Today, I wanted to solve the doubts that some of you have shown on the comments: Where's your coat? Ain't it cold there? Where do you live?. You'll see, right now, the temperature in my city is 19º (centigrades), and even though it rained this morning (one of the few days it does on the year) it was 26º, minimums for this week are 17º and max 24º. That's why you don't see me wearing a coat or jacket yet, I live in the Canary Islands! However, it's not the same everywhere, within my own island you can find much more colder areas (in the center for example, I live in the coast). And after this weather forecast I wanted to tell you that I'm spending this bank holiday (in Spain, next Monday and Wednesday are holidays) at Madrid with my sister (where I'll actually need a coat! so I hope to bring you some more season appropriate outfits) and I don't really know if I'll have the time to update the blog, so just in case I don't, have a nice mini-holiday/weekend and see you next week!

Pues ya han pasado de mi wishlist a mi armario :) Y ya estoy pensando como combinarlas, así que hoy os traigo algunas de las ideas de como llevar unas "biker boots" que se me han ocurrido. ¡Se admiten sugerencias!

Well, they've moved from my wishlist to my closet :) And I'm already thinking different ways of wearing them, so for today I have a "how to wear biker boots" post with some of the ideas I've had so far. Suggestions are welcome!

Primero una propuesta que incluye otra de mis prendas "wishlist" aunque no entró en el último post (ya era demasiado largo): un maxi jersey de rayas. Me gusta la idea de una prenda de punto grandota con las medias y el short (que apenas se vea pero nos evite helarnos la retaguardia) y las botas. A ver que os parece:

First a proposal that includes one of my "wished" clothes (it wasn't on the previous post because it could have become way too long): a striped oversized jumper. I really like the idea of the chunky knitted top with tights and shorts (which can be barely seen but that protects us from the cold) and the boots. Let's see what you think:

Ahora un look con vaqueros inspirado por Natalie Off Duty (¿conocéis su blog? ¡me encanta!) y su maravilloso cardigan de Modcloth (sí, éste también estaba en mi wishlist).

Now, a look with jeans inspired by Natalie Off Duty (do you know her blog? I love it!) and her gorgeous Modcloth cardigan (yes, this was on my wishlist too).

¿Qué más? Ahora con vaqueros negros, camiseta blanca básica y un cárdigan oversized de punto (estoy pensando en uno que tengo de Zara gris del año pasado, pero imposible encontrar una foto online).

What else? Now with pair of black jeans, a basic white tee and an oversized cardigan (I have in mind a grey one that I own from Zara from last year but it's impossible to find a pic on the web).

Y para variar algo distinto: un vestido! Este es el look que más me ha costado construir aunque lo cierto es que se ve bastante la combinación de botas biker + vestidos por los blogs.

And now for a change: a dress! This is the outfit that took me longer to build though I've seen the mix: dress + biker boots in quite a few blogs.

Corduroy Shorts

Recuerdo tener cuando era más pequeña alguna cazadora y varios pantalones largos de pana, alguno incluso acampanado. La verdad es que no sé si hoy me vería con ellos pero creo que en short tienen su punto. Estos son de hace un par de años (creo). Y ya tengo pensado alguna otra forma de combinarlos. Y a vosotras, ¿qué opinion os merece la pana?

I remember having when I was younger some corduroy jacket and a few trousers, some of them quite long and wide. Truth is, I don't know if I'd see myself wearing them today but this short has its "something". They are from a couple of years ago (I believe), and I've already thought of some other way to wear them. And you, what do you thing about corduroy?

Otra vez fotos casi a oscuras. Siento la calidad pero mi cámara con tan poca luz no puede hacer mucho más y las fotos con flash no me gustan nada, será que no les tengo el truco pillado. De todas formas éstas son de hace un par de semanas, ahora ya le tenemos un poco más pillado el truco al nuevo horario y tengo fotos con más luz preparadas. El pantalón es azul oscuro (aunque parezca negro) y la blusa sí que es negra. En fin, después de todas estas explicaciones os dejo con las fotos. ¡Qué tengáis buena semana!

Pictures in the dark again. I apologize for the poor quality but my camera can't do much more in this light and I don't really like flash photos at all. Anyway, these pics are from a couple of weeks ago and now that I'm more used to the new light I've got some better photos to show you. ¡Argh! Odio el horario de invierno, nunca me ha gustado pero ahora tengo una razón más para aborrecerlo, y es que a poco que me retrase un poco en salir de casa por la tarde ya se ha ido prácticamente toda la luz y no hay forma de hacer fotos decentes. Así que lo siento por la calidad un poco churria de las fotos, si os fijáis hasta se nota como se va yendo la luz, ¡es una carrera contra reloj! ;)

Argh! I hate Winter time, I've never liked it but now I have one more reason to detest it since it's getting really difficult to leave home before sun sets and I can barely take decent photos. So I apologise for the weird color on the pics, if you pay attention you can even see light decreasing, it's a race against the clock! ;)

¡Hola a todas! ¿Qué tal va el lunes? Yo he empezado esta semana con fuerzas y me he propuesto volver a postear a un ritmo (casi) normal, a ver si lo cumplo ;). Para empezar hoy os traigo mi última compra, esta rebeca de Zara que desde que la compré (el viernes) he usado ya dos veces así que tiene pinta de que se va a convertir en uno de mis favoritos. Tiene la cantidad justa de lana para que sea abrigada pero sin picar y me encanta que tenga capucha, hace tiempo que no tenía nada con ella y había olvidado lo divertido que es. ¿Qué os parece? ¡Feliz semana!

Hi there! How's your Monday so far? I've started this week with renew strength and I have the firm purpose of posting on a (almost) regular basis again, let's see how it goes ;). To begin with, today I'm showing you my last buy, this Zara maxi cardigan that, since I bought it on Friday, I've already worn twice so I'm guessing it's going to become one of my favourites. It has the exact amount of wool to be warm but not itchy and I love the fact that it has a hood, I haven't worn one for a long while and I had forgotten how fun it is. What do you think? Happy week!

Estas fotos son de hace un par de semanas, aunque el tiempo no ha cambiado demasiado sí lo suficiente para tener que ponerme medias con los shorts al menos si voy a estar fuera hasta tarde. Tengo ganas de que llegue un poco de frío de verdad, ahora mismo estoy con cero inspiración a la hora de vestir, por eso también la falta de posts (sorry). En cualquier caso un día de estos quiero hacer un post con algunas de las cositas que me gustan ahora mismo de lo que hay en las tiendas a ver si así me voy animando. ¡Besos!

These photos are from a couple of weeks ago, despite weather hasn't change that much it has changed enough for me to wear tights with the shorts, at least when I'm not coming home till late. No sé si os lo había comentado antes pero ésta es una de mis combinaciones de colores favorita: vaquero+blanco+beige; y en este caso añadiendo un toque de cuero que creo que (casi) nunca va mal. Siempre me han encantado estos tres tonos juntos, no sé porqué pero me resulta súper agradable a la vista, cuando se la veo a otra persona también me llama la atención enseguida, y eso que no es nada del otro mundo.. manías que tiene una. ¿Tenéis alguna combinación de colores favorita?

I can't remember if I had already told you but I love this color mix: denim+white+beige; and today with a little of leather which I believe is (almost) always a good thing. I've always loved these colors together, I don't know why exactly but I found the combination really nice to look at, when I sight someone wearing it, it immediately catches my attention, even though I realize it's nothing special.. just my craze I guess. Do you have any favourite color combination?
